Over £96,000 Raised Through Two International Charity Rides
Over the past two years, Dennis Okwera and supporters of the Lumule Foundation have taken on two extraordinary cycling challenges in partnership with the Kyne Foundation, raising a combined £96,000 to support education and opportunity for children in northern Uganda.
CYCLE ACROSS UGANDA
The first challenge saw riders cycle 350 kilometres across Uganda, experiencing first-hand the communities and landscapes that inspire the Foundation’s work.
PARIS TO NICE
Building on that success, the team returned in 2025 to tackle an even greater challenge: Paris to Nice, covering approximately 750 kilometres over multiple days through France. Battling long distances, steep climbs, unpredictable weather, and physical exhaustion, the cyclists pushed themselves far beyond their comfort zones, united by a shared purpose.
Together, these two events have raised an incredible £96,000, helping to fund educational programmes, school facilities, vocational training, and opportunities for young people at Lumule Primary School.
Beyond the fundraising itself, both rides brought together an inspiring community of supporters who believe in the transformative power of education. Every mile cycled represented a commitment to creating brighter futures for children who deserve access to learning, opportunity, and hope.
We are immensely grateful to every rider, donor, sponsor, and volunteer who made these challenges possible. Your dedication continues to create lasting change for the children and families we serve.
Together, we are proving that every kilometre can make a difference.
