Autumn Fundraising Breakfast Raises £21,000 for Vocational Education

A MORNING TO REMEMBER

In Autumn 2025, the Lumule Foundation welcomed supporters to a special fundraising breakfast at The Peninsula London, hosted by Dennis Okwera alongside fashion designer Daniela Helayel.

Bringing together philanthropists, creatives, and changemakers, including singer and author Paloma Faith, the morning focused on a shared goal: creating greater opportunities for young women through vocational education at Lumule Primary School in northern Uganda.

THE EVENT RAISED £21K

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of those in attendance, the event raised £21,000 to support the school’s growing vocational studies programme. Alongside their financial contributions, guests also donated sewing machines and professional hairdressing kits, helping ensure students have access to the practical equipment needed to develop valuable skills for the future.

These resources will support girls as they learn tailoring, hairdressing, and other vocational disciplines, providing pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and financial independence alongside their academic education.

We are incredibly grateful to every guest who attended, donated, and championed this initiative. Their generosity will have a lasting impact on the lives of young women at Lumule Primary School, helping equip them with the confidence, skills, and opportunities to shape their own futures.

Thank you for believing in the power of education and opportunity.
